Once upon a
time, there was a “Jackal. One day he came to a nearby village in search of
food. Seeing him a group of mongrels (dogs) began barking and growling and
attacked the Jackals from all sides. He ran for his life.
The Jackal
did not know what to do and he fell into a vat of indigo dye water. Now the Jackal
was full of dyed indigo colour.
Meanwhile
the dogs had stopped barking. The dogs got scared then they ran away.
The indigo Jackal
returned to the forest. All animals saw him and totally surprised that
what had happened. In this situation, the cunning Jackal hatched a plan. He declared
“I am the king of the forest. Bring me some food to eat now”.
The
frightened animals agreed. They brought food to him. Now the Jackal never cold
or hungry anymore.
After a long
time, it rained heavily. The indigo colour of Jackal washed away. He did not
come to know that all the other animals saw that it was a jackal and got angry.
The animals
realized that they had been tricked. The king was nothing. They all began to
chase him and threw the jackal out of the forest.
Moral: Lying
does not last long.
